John Platt joined Manitou in 2016 and serves as an Investment Counsellor and member of the Portfolio Management Team on the Manitou Total Return Yield Fund. He also plays a key role in liaising and coordinating Manitou's investment management functions with client service and marketing. Prior to joining Manitou, John was a principal at HighView Financial Group for eight years and before that held a senior management position in BMO Nesbitt Burns' Private Client Group. John is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Dalhousie University and holds the CIM designation. John is active in his community, having served as board member and trustee of the Oakville Hospital Foundation, the Oakville Community Foundation, Appleby College, and Lighthouse for Grieving Children, and is the past Chair of the Board of the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education.
